They feature increased horsepower and torque over the factory engine and install in any 1996-2000 Chevy or GMC truck or SUV. The crate engines are designed to re-use the factory EFI and require no tuning.

BluePrint Engines 383 C.I.D Stroker 1996-2000 GM Vortec Truck/SUV crate engines feature:

* New BluePrint cast iron block, 4-bolt main, 1-piece rear main seal, mechanical fuel pump provision, passenger side dipstick, drilled and tapped for clutch linkage
* New BluePrint steel crankshaft with 3.750 in. stroke
* OEM type 5.700 in. connecting rods w/ 150,000 psi bolts
* Hypereutectic pistons
* Externally balanced front/externally balanced rear
* BluePrint aluminum cylinder heads, 64cc chamber, 2.02 in. intake/1.60 in. exhaust valves, 195cc intake/75cc exhaust runners
* Hydraulic roller camshaft, .477 Intake/.471 Exhaust, 202 Intake /212 Exhaust duration, @ .050, 115 degree lobe separation
